May… have been a record breaker

May’s BBBR may have been one of our largest to date.  Which is awesome.   Had a terrfic turn out despite a rain delayed start.   Megan, Jeff, Craig, Tara, Robert, Nancy, Neal, Steven, Derek R., and I all hit the hills of Swope Park for a good ride through the south land.   With the late start, we also had the opportunity to stop at KC Bier CO for our post ride drinks.  There, we encountered HAMMERSCHLAGEN!  A pretty cool, and simple game.  Be the first to hammer your nail into a large stump.  Pretty good game to stand around and drink while playing.  Also, they had their Meibach beer on sale, for pretty darn cheap, which was nice 😉

Upcoming Rides

Thirst Thursdays

As usual, several of the group will be gathering at Velo Garage and Tap House Thursday evening to get a great social ride in.  Helmet and Lights required.  Group rolls out at 6:30 pm.  Bring your thirst, and a friend.

Tour de Bier – SUNDAY

This is the weekend!   Hard to imagine that it’s been a year since my accident, but here we are, and I’m stoked to try this again, without crashing!  Join up!  Ride the 35 mile route with us.  Drink some beers, because it’s what we do!

Ped Jam

It’s memorial day weekend.  What better way to spend it than cycling, listening to live music, and having fun with friend.s   We’ll be the ones wearing Hawaiian shirts.

Dirty Kanza – Saturday June 1st

Derek R., Scott Timber, Scoots, Timme, and I are heading to Emporia for the Dirty Kanza.  Feel free to come out out and cheer Timber/Scoots along as he makes ANOTHER attempt at completing the 200 mile ride.  Good luck buddy.
